Anand Mahindra is an Indian businessman and philanthropist. He was born on May 1, 1955, in Mumbai, India. He is the Chairman of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate with interests in automotive, aerospace, agribusiness, two wheelers, construction equipment, defense, energy, finance, hospitality, information technology, leisure and hospitality, real estate, retail, and telecommunications.

Mahindra received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. He joined the Mahindra Group in 1981 and has held several key positions, including as CEO of the company's automotive division and as Executive Director of the group.

Under his leadership, the Mahindra Group has grown significantly and has become a leading player in several industries. Mahindra is also known for his philanthropic work and is actively involved in various social initiatives through the Mahindra Foundation.

He has been recognized with several awards and honors, including being named among Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world
